Tibet Heritage Fund(THF) website defines itself this way:
"A non-profit organization registered in Berlin with international members and supporters, is committed to the preservation and advancement of Tibetan Cultural Heritage, and the promoting of international understanding and co-operation. THF's main effort so far has been the study and preservation of the historic city of Lhasa, and a series of interactive maps showcase our documentation and rehabilitation work. A linked database created by our project provides access to information about several hundred historic buildings, their history, present condition and usage. Maps for virtual and real exploration can be downloaded."

The Asian Classics Input Project fondation defines itself this way:
The Asian Classics Input Project works to preserve the disappearing books containing the great ideas of the Eastern half of humanity and to make these books and ideas accessible to the world at large. Our mission is carried out in several steps. First, we search the globe for the remaining collections of books and record their location and contents in catalog form. Next we copy the books and send these copies to be input onto computer media at data entry centers that we have established around the world.
